KBN Portal
The KBN portal was developed in 2019 through the KCDC’s “project to establish a KBN an open human bioresource sharing platform” (The Catholic University of Korea, College of Medicine, Choi Yeong Jin/Choi In Young, professors), which has been operational since March 1, 2020.
The KBN portal is the largest shared open platform for disease-based resource owned by KBN regional biobanks. It discloses and shares related information including disease-based resource status, systematic search, efficient distribution, and utilization outcomes to researchers in order to improve the efficient utilization of national disease-based resources.
In addition, it will develop standardization and the standard model of KBN disease-based resource clinical information, and establish an integrated management system to increase the utilization value of human bioresource and the user-customized service system through the smooth operation of the KBN Distribution Support Center and the Distribution Support Call Center.
